Henderson Divides Queen Anne

With over one million people each year visiting Edinburgh Castle to savour its history and dramatic position between the Scottish hills and sea, it is one of the most popular historic sites in the UK.

It is in this immensely important historical site that Henderson sliding door hardware was specified for a major redevelopment of the Castle's Queen Anne Building recreating 1781 when the Castle was used as the main prisoner of war camp in Scotland.

The project, undertaken on behalf of Historic Scotland, involved the installation of Henderson's Mansion and College Endfold systems to operate a series of movable room partitions in the Queen Anne Building.

The Mansion system provides a high quality, straight sliding, bottom rolling system capable of carrying up to 170kg doors, which proved ideal for such a prestigous application.

College Endfold systems have been designed for use in internal folding applications, typically room partitions.  College Endfold is ideally suited to high class joinery installations, offering folding door options for up to eight connected door leaves in any single opening.  Each door leaf can weigh up to 140kg.
