Anodised aluminium guide channel for use with sliding and folding doors
Our 95 anodised aluminium guide channel has been designed for use with our 106/95 guide and is suitable for use with sliding and folding systems including Husky 120 Pro, Huskyfold 30, Soltaire, Flexirol Endfold, Flexirol Centrefold and Pacer Sliding.
The channel has been designed with a lipped edge to allow for an aesthetic appearance once installed by concealing the routing detail from underneath. The channel can be installed into the floor or routed into the bottom of the door.
When to use a guide channel?
Overall, guide channels provide more stability to any sliding and folding door system. For internal sliding door applications, a guide channel is usually recommended with doors over 1500mm wide, as the wider the door the less control a standard floor guide would have over the direction of the door.
For internal folding door applications, a guide channel is usually recommended for applications whereby more than 4 doors fold to one side of the opening. Without use of a guide channel, the end door may drag across the floor due to an increased weight load.
For external sliding and folding door systems, guide channels are always recommended to help seal the gap between the door and the threshold, support drainage and prevent doors from rattling when exposed to strong winds.
