Overview 

P C Henderson's popular Pocket Door Pro system has recently featured in a DIY bathroom renovation project in a home in Merseyside.

Project Requirements 

The properties original bathroom featured a swing door which opened into the bathroom, restricting both floor space and the size of the existing shower. The renovation aimed to maximise the available space to fit a walk-in shower and larger skin unit. To achieve this, the swing door was replaced with a sliding door, allowing for more efficient layout and better use of the floor space.

Solution

After much research online, P C Henderson Pocket Door Pro was identified as the best product for the project. Upon opening, the door slides into the cavity within the wall, saving the valuable floor space required for the new bathroom layout. With this solution, the customer was able to increase their shower space by 35% and include a larger sink unit. 

As a competent DIYer, the customer felt confident in their ability to install the system having read the products fitting instructions prior to purchase. Featuring an aluminium cavity frame with push together parts, Pocket Door Pro is easily installed by a single person which added to the choosing of the system. The customer also opted for our timber liner kit which has been designed to match the profile of the pocket door hardware exactly, increasing convenience and reducing installation time.

To enhance usability, the customer also opted for dual soft close, which gently guides the door into both open and closed position-preventing slamming and ensuring quiet operation. To complement the gold features within the bathroom, P C Henderson's antique brass flush pull set was also specified.
