Case Study

Project: Fenix Museum

Products: Straight Sliding 305

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Location

Our Straight Sliding 305 system has been beautifully showcased in a recent museum project in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Installed on the exterior of the Fenix Museum-an institution dedicated to telling stories of migration through contemporary art-the system plays a key role in both functionality and aesthetic of the building.

Project Brief

The museums exterior called for robust sliding doors capable of fully securing the main entrance, whilst also supporting the weight and scale of the large metal door panels. Equally important, the hardware needed to complement the buildings historic character rather than detract from it.

Solution

Straight Sliding 305 was chosen as the perfect solution for the project, seamlessly meeting every requirement needed to bring the museum's vision to life. The system delivered on all fronts - combining strength, functionality, and aesthetic appearance.

To enhance the visual appeal of the museum, the installation included decorative hangers sourced by an external supplier for a clean, contemporary look. All hardware was colour-matched to the museum's distinctive green doors-a design choice that's becoming increasingly popular throughout the Netherlands and further elevates the overall aesthetic.
