Prehung Doors Ltd, based in London, specialise in the supply and installation of internal doors that are supplied with pre hung door hardware to allow for maximum precision during intallation. the company provides standard and bespoke door sizes for those that need them, as well as hinged, pocket, sliding and folding doors - all made to measure in the companies UK factory.
Requirements
Prehung Doors was approached by two clients with identicle design briefs - to provide a room divider which seperates a large dining room and lounge into two rooms. The clients required a modern, functional design which would allow the rooms to be seamlessly opened up as one - for example when entertaning or socialising.
Solution
P C Henderson's innovation Roomflex folding door hardware was identified as the best solution for the two projects. Catering for doors weighing up to 50kg, Roomflex allows for both open and broken plan living in the home.
Unlike other internal folding door system, Roomflex has been designed to completely remove the need for a bottom channel. This not only creates a minimalistic finish but also eliminates any trip hazards, allowing for a seamless walkway from room to room - meeting both of the project's requirements exactly.
When open, the doors can be neatly folded to one or both sides of the aperature (depending on the door configuration), allowing the two rooms to be completely opended up as one.
Prehung Doors was able to be personalise the Roomflex system to meet it's client's needs - using three wooden folding doors and one swing door with glass panels on both installations. The two rooms are able to be closed off whilst still maintaining the flow of natural light through the properties.
