Sustainability plays a crucial role in building design to reduce environmental impact using eco-friendly materials, efficient energy systems and thoughtful design practices. As such, we are seeing more and more projects for external sliding shutters to help regulate building temperature and reduce energy consumption., all while providing an aesthetic appeal to the exterior of a building. 

Our Shutter Slide sliding hardware system has been designed to offer a functional yet aesthetic solution for the manual or automated movement of external shutters weighing up to 120kg each. 

Launched in 2019, our Shutter Slide system is becoming more and more popular in residential and commercial applications. To further enhance the performance of the system, we have recently designed new components within the Shutter Slide range, as well as introducing kit pack options to aid product specification.  

 

Various Configurations 

Shutter Slide is highly versatile and flexible system capable of catering for a variety of variations, including single panel, simultaneous action and telescopic options - all with manual or automated operation options. 

Simultaneous action is perfect for bi-parting shutters requiring simultaneous movement simply open or close one panel and the other will move simultaneously. 

Telescopic movement is perfect for large, expansive openings or applications with a limited wall reveal. Upon opening the lead door, the other panels travel in a simultaneous movement. Once closed, the panels stack to the side of the opening.

Easy Specification

To make specification as easy as possible, Shutter Slide is now available in kit pack format for single sliding panels in which the kit includes all components required for installation. Alternatively, Shutter Slide can be specified as individual components for more complex installations or for applications requiring simultaneous action or telescopic movement. 

Various Wall Fixing Options 

Shutter Slide offers 3 methods of fixing for flexibility of installation. For a minimalistic finish, panels can be soffit fixed to the underside of an overhead lintel. For applications with no overhead lintel, installers may use our wall fixing profile or wall brackets. 

Multiple Guide Options 

Shutter Slide is available with multiple guide options to suit the requirements of various application types-including floor and wall mounted guides as well as a range of channel options. For a concealed guide options, our GSS/ULR channel fixes to the bottom of the door and features an L profile fascia which conceals the floor guide for a minimalistic appearance. To give the appearance of floating panels, our L plate bracket and associated guides are a perfect option. 

Anodised Aluminium Fascia

Shutter Slide is available with an optional fascia for minimalistic finish. Made from anodised aluminium, the fascia offers a durable, scratch-resistant and aesthetic finish. The fascia is extremely easy to install and clips to our wall fixing profile. 

Automated Accessories 

If automating your Shutter Slide system, our low voltage, energy efficient motor can be operated by the push of a button or remote control. The motor can also be wired into the central control panel of a building for additional operation options.
