Alex plays a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness, security, and forward-looking evolution of the P C Henderson IT infrastructure, seamlessly integrating operational stability with digital innovation.
Joining P C Henderson 18 years ago as IT Manager, Alex's responsibilities broadened significantly following the 2011 acquisition by our parent company, ASSA ABLOY. This expanded his remit to overseeing not only P C Henderson's IT systems but also providing critical support to our sister companies within group.
Alex's core responsibilities encompass IT security, comprehensive management and maintenance of all IT equipment and infrastructure, ERP system administration, and provision of extensive IT support. He serves as the principal IT liaison for three P C Henderson sites and acts as secondary contact for multiple ASSA ABLOY locations.

Reflecting on his role, Alex notes, "There is no typical day in my position, as I support IT infrastructure across diverse company brands, multiple user groups, and numerous sites. The ever-changing environment constantly challenges me and keeps me on my toes."
Alex recently achieved a significant academic milestone by completing an MSc in Computer Science with Cyber Security from the University of York. This rigorous programme covered a wide range of complex topics, including advanced cryptography, network security, threat detection and mitigation, as well as secure software development practices. This achievement further enhances Alex's expertise, enabling him to apply cutting-edge cybersecurity knowledge to strengthen and future-proof the IT infrastructure at P C Henderson and across the ASSA ABLOY group.
When asked about his favourite aspect of working at P C Henderson, Alex highlighted, "Without a doubt, It's the people. I'm fortunate to collaborate closely with colleagues from a wide range of departments which enhances the work experience."
Outside of his professional achievements, Alex is an avid adventurer. Whether spending quality time with family or pursuing extraordinary personal challenges-such as completing 70-mile ultra-marathon, cycling coast-to-coast, or trekking to Everest Base Camp-he approaches every endeavour with steadfast determination and passion.
