At P C Henderson, investing in our people is just as important as investing in our products. A great example of this commitment is Greg Stephenson, who recently progressed into the role of Technical Customer Service Agent, after building his career in other areas of the business.

Greg joined P C Henderson almost four years ago, beginning his career with the company as part of the production team working on the rolling mill machine. in this role, Greg was directly involved in manufacturing metal sections of tracks and channels used across varied product range. This background has given him a strong understanding of the components we manufacture and how they integrate into different systems, allowing him to offer knowledgeable and practical technical advice.

Following his time in production, Greg took the opportunity to develop his career and transition into the customer service team. 

In his day-to-day role, Greg works closely with the Customer Service team, supporting customers by phone and email. A significant part of his role involves providing technical support and installation guidance across our extensive product range, from straightforward sliding systems such as our Husky 120 Pro to more complex solutions such as our industrial Straight Sliding system.

Commenting on Greg's progression, John Suddes, Customer Service Manager, said: "Greg's journey is a great example of internal progression and highlights the talent we have within P C Henderson. his hands on experience manufacturing the products gives him an in-depth knowledge of our products and systems that an external hire could take years to grasp. His technical knowledge of the product is invaluable when supporting customers with technical questions or issues. Greg has been able to hit the ground running and has been a great addition to the customer service team."

Alongside his professional development, Greg has also completed a course in Higher Education in Environmental Science, where he learnt how the actions of humans shape the environment and how scientific and social insights can guide better decisions in the future.

When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Greg commented, "Starting in production gave me a great foundation, and P C Henderson has really supported my progression. It feels good to use that experience every day to help customers and support the wider team."

Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time at his allotment gardening, as well as making the most of family time with his wife and daughter.
