Meet Ron Gurney, Our Operations Director here at P C Henderson. Having been with the company for over 15 years, Ron leads our production team, ensuring we efficiently meet our customer demands and maintain the high standards the company is known for.

As Operations Director, Ron's role is extremely diverse - from overseeing the daily manufacturing operations of the factory to align production plans with our growing sales forecast and demand. Alongside this, Ron also oversees procurement and manages the relationship with our key suppliers to ensure controlled costs and lead times.

 

Exporting to more than 70 countries worldwide, P C Henderson must adhere to international laws and regulations when shipping our products. Ron plays a major role within business compliance to ensure our operations consistently meet international standards.

Recently, Ron has been at the forefront of a major project relocating the business, overseeing the move of our full production capacity to a new site. This complex operation involved careful planning, coordination across multiple departments, and ensuring that production continued smoothly during the transition. The successful relocation has positioned P C Henderson for continued growth and improved efficiency.

When asked what he enjoys most about his role as Operations Director, Ron commented, "Seeing the team progress and develop within their career is a highlight for me, I'm very lucky to work with such a driven team who are dedicated to their role."

Ron began his academic journey at Northumbria University, where he earned a degree in Business. After graduating, he started his career in the engineering sector before transitioning into supply chain and operations. Over the years, Ron has gained experience across several industries, including telecoms and automotive.

When asked where he sees the future of P C Henderson, Ron commented, "I believe 2026 will be a fantastic year for P C Henderson. the relocation of the business to larger, more moder premises gives us a great opportunity to continue growing, alongside an exciting lineup of product development."

Outside of work, Ron spends his weekends relaxing with family and friends in his lodge in the Lake District.
