Question:
Your install instructions don't explicitly state... So what is the minimum size wall thickness width that the kit can accommodate by cutting done the track and timber head assembly separately . Please do not state like you did for the other question asking about a 95mm width wall that your kit accommodates a minimum 120mm wall thickness as this is the stock kit size and clearly does not address the question per the details provided in the instructions which state to please contact you for further information on reducing the kit size.
Question by: Kate Donkin on 22 Oct 2020, 01:00
Answer:
Good Morning, Thank you for getting in touch. The question received by the previous customer was in reference to the finished wall thickness, which for this kit is 120mm. The part of the fitting instructions you 're referring to is in reference to cutting the kit down to suit a non standard door size. In which case we advise €œKits can be reduced both in height and width to meet particular door sizes. To reduce the height of a kit cut down the uprights by the same amount, starting from the bottom of each upright. To reduce the width of the kit cut down the track and timber head assembly separately. Cut from the opening side by the difference between the kit door width and the door to be used in equal proportion. For further information contact the P.C. Henderson Technical Department. Hope this helps. Many thanks Kate Marketing Assistant

Question:
I’m intending to purchase a pdksoft10 for a door that is 750 by 2300 - we haven’t made the door yet so don’t know how much it will weigh. Which weight bracket would you suggest? Do they still operate if the door is underweight?
Question by: Kate Donkin on 22 Oct 2020, 01:00
Answer:
Good Morning, The weight of the door will depend on the door material used. A standard kit can cater for an underweight door no problem but when using a soft close it 's important to choose the right weight capacity in order to get optimum performance. Hope this helps. Question:
I'm looking at buying 2 No PDK3 pocket door systems to install as a double door room divider. Do you have any instructions for when fitting as a double, the standard instruction are for single only and just state that the tracks must be secured to a suitable lintel. Would this affect the rough opening height? The single instructions suggest a gap between the rail and the top of the opening, if fixing to a lintel you would want this gap would you?
Question by: Kate Donkin on 23 Oct 2020, 01:00
Answer:
Good afternoon, For double pocket door applications, butt the timber headers together and soffit fix these to the overhead lintel. Then use the bracket at the closing side of the opening as normal. This wouldn 't effect the opening height. Thanks, Kate Marketing Assistant

Question:
Afternoon, do you have any installation instructions that show how to have a flush plastered/painted finish, i.e. a pocket door with no architraves around it. I can see in the installation instructions the is a wooden surround, but I wouldn't be able to plaster over this. Any information would be very appreciated.
Question by: Andrew Wilcock on 14 Jul 2021, 01:00
Answer:
Hello, Thank you for the question, unfortunately we are not able to supply that information as that finish is not something we offer. Our finishing kit is the timber liner kit that we show in the instruction. You do not have to take the liner kit however, it is optional and you can finish the door anyway you like however we do not supply instructions for any other finish option except the one we supply. You can finish with plaster board to give you the flush finish you require but how it is achieved is up to your builder / joiner. Apologies I am unable to help further John
