Monday
15th January – Friday 19th January saw P C Henderson hold
their Health and Safety Week, as part of an initiative with all ASSA ABLOY
sites across the UK and Ireland, demonstrating why Health and Safety
is a priority in the workplace.
The aim of the week was to ensure employees were made aware of Health & Safety issues throughout all areas of the business, how they could be affected, and what actions they could take to alleviate any situations that could arise. Also taking part in sessions that would help improve not only the ongoing health and safety within P C Henderson, but employees' health and wellbeing outside of the business.
As part of this, the P C Henderson team took part in various workshops throughout the week, with each session focussing on a different element of Health & Safety. The sessions included were:
A Health and Safety Review – Reflecting on our efforts in 2023, and our commitments for 2024.
Sustainability – maintaining business process over time, whilst being environmentally conscious.
Challenging Unsafe Behaviours in the workplace – recognising what these look like and how to address them.
The Importance of Sleep – important practices that could help with a sleep routine.
CPR demonstration – shown by our very own on-site First Aider, David Owen.
Health Check – Employees could have a 1-to-1 Health Check session if they wished.
The week ended with an on-site team celebration and a selection of sweet and savoury treats!
A huge thank you to all employees for their participation throughout the week!
