Could RFK2 + RFK2 be used on a 1500mm wide aperture and if so, what would the frame width and glass width be for each panel?
Question by: David Owen on 20 Jul 2021, 01:00
Answer:
Hello, Thank you for the question regarding our Roomflex system. Yes 2 x RFK2 kits could be used to achieve a 3+3 door layout, however with an opening of 1500mm this would mean the doors would have to be quite narrow doors. Â In response to your question on the glass width and frame width then we are unable to answer that part, the doors are not supplied by us, we only supply the hardware. You would need to source the doors yourself. Â I hope this helps, however if you require any further information then please feel free to give our technical department a call on 0191 3777345 and they will be happy to go over any further questions you may have. Question:
Hi, we are going to use four 24in wide doors in a 3 plus 1 configuration and have room to create an opening of between 8 and 9 foot. We wanted to ask what allowance is needed or what dimensions the opening would need to be. The doors are 78 x 24 each. Thank you
Question by: Niamh Richardson on 7 Jan 2025, 21:44
Answer:
Good morning,
For a 3+1 configuration you would need an opening size of 2461mm, therefore your 610mm doors would work within the opening.
You would need to leave a clearance of 6mm between the door and the jamb on each side of the opening, as well as 3mm clearance between the doors.
Thanks

Question:
I've an opening of 1960mm looking for a 3 door set up. 686mm 2x610 is there a kit that works for these sizes
Question by: Andrew on 12 Feb 2025, 16:28
Answer:
Good morning,
For our Roomflex kit, 6mm is required between the doors and the jamb and 3mm is required between the doors. Given your chosen door sizes, this gives an opening size of 1924mm which would work within your opening.
If you doors are less than 40kg, I would recommend our Roomflex 40 in which you would purchase then 3+0 kit and 280HP track - i have included the below to this product below.
For doors up to 50kg, you can purchase the RF50K2 of our Roomflex 50 system and our 180 track.
Thanks,

Question:
I have an existing door opening of 1220 wide x 1975 high. I'm looking to replace the existing 2 x standard opening doors with 2 doors folding to one side. Which kit do I need? Is the swing door set (no track) enough to hold 2 x 610x1975 doors?
Question by: Keith Darbyshire on 1 May 2025, 13:06
Answer:
Good morning,
For an application of two doors folding to one side, you will need to purchase 1 x RF50K1 and a length of our 180 track.
Please note: within your opening, you will need to account for a total of 15mm clearance (6mm between the door and the jamb on both sides and 3mm between the doors).
Thanks,
P C Henderson
