Meet our Commercial Apprentice - Amy!

Amy joined the Sales Department just over a year ago, playing a key role in supporting the Customer Service Team.

A typical day for Amy is very varied. It involves answering phone calls, replying to customer emails and logging quotes and orders so that they can be fulfilled and sent out to customers. More recently Amy has taken responsibility for our CRM system, checking information is up to date and helping colleagues with any queries they may have when using it. 

Occasionally, Amy supports and gets involved with other departments, such as Production, Finance and Marketing. This has helped her get a better understanding of how each department interlinks with each other and operates well as a team within P C Henderson.

Out of all the sales activities, Amy’s favourite is getting to talk to customers and being able to help solve any questions they may have. With the vast range of products P C Henderson offers, this can be challenging at times, but Amy takes it in her stride, uses her initiative, and doesn’t hesitate to find out the information a customer needs. Amy comments:

“We have a huge range of products here at P C Henderson, all for different applications and solutions. Every day I learn something new about our hardware, but sometimes when a customer calls and asks about our products, I don’t always know the answer. This requires me to take the time to find out for them, but it means that I will be able to solve a customer query quicker next time.”

 

When Amy is not supporting our excellent Customer Services Team, she enjoys taking trips to the beach, going shopping and spending time with her friends and family.
