Question:
What would you recommend to lubricate the door sliders once in use?
Question by: George Young on 23 Sept 2024, 20:02
Answer:
Good afternoon,
Lubrication is not required for this sliding hardware. The internal bearings are self-lubricating and any extra lubrication will negatively affect the performance of the nylon wheels.

Question:
Hi, I’ve got two of your PDK3 kits but I want to upgrade it to dual soft close. Your website is a little hard to navigate (probably me) can you point me to which soft open/close mechanism I will need to buy please.
Question by: Glenn Britton on 5 Oct 2024, 11:20
Answer:
Good morning,
Unfortunately, we do not offer a soft close which can be retrofitted to our standard Pocket Door Kits.
The PDKSOFT kits which we offer have been modified to include a built in soft close mechanism and include a different track to our standard Pocket Door Kits to house the soft close. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Thanks,
P C Henderson

Question:
Do you need to have finished floor level before installing the pocket door kits?
Question by: Aaron on 13 Jan 2025, 11:16
Answer:
Good morning,
Yes - our Pocket Door kit needs to be installed at the finished floor level to allow the guide to operate within the door. If you are unable to achieve this, we recommend packing the floor to achieve a finished floor level.
Thanks

Question:
Hi, I am installing a PDK3 kit with a 686mm door. The instructions advise to cut the track and timber head assembly separately from the opening side by the difference between the kit door width and the door to be used in equal proportion.
Does this mean that I should cut 38mm of each end of the track & head assembly or should I cut 76mm only off the opening end?
Also, do I need to separate the track from the header board & fascia before cutting?
Thanks
Question by: Steve McDonald on 25 Mar 2025, 20:05
Answer:
Good morning,
To allow the kit to suit 686mm doors, cut 76mm from the opening side. You can cut the track and timber header separately or together, as long as they are the same length upon installation.
Thanks,
P C Henderson
